Offers for schools

The workshop lasts for 2 hours and includes the following activities:

“DISCOVER THE FAUNA AND FLORA” EDUCATIONAL VISIT
After a guided tour of the Villa gardens, children are invited on a tour around different gardens of the world, English, Japanese, Florentine, Spanish, etc.

                                                               
This visit has a number of aims, including:
• Learn how to observe and respect nature.
• Examine the different types of exotic and Mediterranean plants, etc.
• Observe the fauna of the gardens: insects, fishes, birds.
• Familiarise yourself with the vocabulary of the senses.
• At the end of the visit, the children are asked to describe and talk about what they have learnt during their visit using fact sheets.
         

“DISCOVER THE AROMAS” WORKSHOP
• Discover the smells and culinary properties of the plants collected.
• Play around with aromatic materials: crush, break, touch and smell them.
Materials used: pestle and mortar, spices and condiments.
• The last part of the Nature workshop is devoted to the sense of smell. The children smell the essential oils and are asked to compare these smells with those they discovered in the gardens (lavender, thyme, etc.).
